About Hot Venom

Hot Venom was created for individuals who are tired of hearing “corporate manufactured” rap/hip-hop music. This label is built on a firm belief that rap music belongs to the People. We believe the People are the ones that choose what songs get “bumped” at the clubs. The People are the ones who decide what songs or rap artists they would like to hear in rotation on their local radio stations. It is the People who decide which artist or artist is “hot” or not. This label is for the same people who are tired of being bombarded by rap artists whose “spins” are paid for by major labels.

This label believes rap music can’t be “contained” in the little box the corporate establishment is trying put it in. We believe there is no way should stockholders or any other corporate entity should ever dictate to real rap artists 1) how to dress 2) how to make a video 3) what songs to write about 4) And last but not least- How to act!

Rap music is about doin’ whatever you feel like doin’. This hip hop culture is about being an individual and wearing whatever clothes you want to wear not just following what is perceived by the major corporations as being “hot”. Hot Venom was established to help preserve the integrity of this culture and its music.

Over the past ten years rap music has gotten “watered-down” by an industry whose sole purpose is driven by “corporate greed”. These same companies who “force-feed” the public this “corporate (c)rap” ,and make billions from doing it, rarely, if ever, give anything back to the communities that inspire so many records they sell. Hot Venom was created out of this frustration and is determined to bring the control of this music back to the People and will proudly defend it for eternity.-
